Marketing, plain and simple, is the process of sharing the features and the benefits of your products and services with others. As a process, there are a number of tools business owners can use to share their message with prospects and customers.
Before we go into any real depth on the subject it’s important to remember that with any marketing tool, you have to do three things to achieve the desired results.
So what are those three things?
1) Integrate the new marketing tool into your current marketing strategy.
2) Track and test each new tool and marketing campaign.
3) Tweak your campaign for optimal results.
What are your goals for your marketing? Do you write them down? I’m going to give you mine. They are short, sweet and to the point.
My marketing goals are really two fold:
1) I want to share my products and services information with targeted prospects.
2) I want to make a profit.
Pretty simplistic huh? Well, I’m a pretty simplistic guy. This internet/affiliate marketing stuff really isn’t as hard as some people want to make it. I mean it’s not plug and play simple, but it’s not rocket science hard either. If you are willing to learn, apply what you have learned, and not be afraid of some work then you can be successful. You don’t need to have any type of pedigree or social standing to be a successful online business owner.
Even if you run a campaign that only returns a marginal return on your investment, it should be considered a success and I highly advise you to repeat the campaign.
That being said, over the next 11 days we are going to take a look at some of the most effective marketing tools available to you and what you, as an online business owner, can do with them to achieve greater successes, a keener awareness, and more profits.
